Hello, Elk River
We are filming our next feature film in and around Elk River, MN. It is a cute little town in the NW Suburbs of Minneapolis and has a cute downtown area which is what drew us to the community.
We rely on the help of many people to be able to make a movie. It is a true collaborative effort. Please look at the list below and see if there is anything that you might be able to help with.

Things we still need
A HOUSE TO FILM IN - In the movie, Grandpa is recently widowed and is in his late 60's. We are looking for a 70's or 80's built home in a neighborhood and the home does not need to be updated. Will it be disruptive - Yes, but it is a very rewarding experience. We have used 2 homes in the making of our other films and both of the families really enjoyed the process. We would need your home (you are welcome to stick around during filming and stay there at night). Please send a photo of the front and back of the home, the kitchen, and living rooms along with the address to Casting@iifilms.org with Home in the subject line. And yes - we have insurance.
EXTRAS - We need tons of extras and are compiling an email list for contacting at the appropriate time. Please send an email with the names and ages of the people that are willing to be in the film to Casting@iifilms.org with Extras in the subject line.
A CHURCH - We are looking for a church that does immersion Baptisms and has an area for a Worship band. The Baptismal does not need to be built-in, it could be a tank that is brought in for Baptisms. If you know of a church like that in or around Elk River, let us know at Casting@iifilms.org.
A HOSPITAL ROOM - This one is a little tricky but hear me out. If we can not find an actual hospital room to use, we can mock one up in a commercial space. So do you know of or have a commercial space that has an empty room that we could use? It could be a vacant building or an occupied building with an empty room. Maybe even a church has a small Sunday School room that we can temporarily transform... let me know. Please send an email to Casting@iifilms.org with Hospital in the subject line.
A BOX TRUCK - Do you have a box truck that we can use during the production? Email us at Casting@iifilms.org with Truck in the subject line.
A MOTORHOME - Do you have a motorhome that we can use during the production? We would be using it as a mobile production office during filming. Email us at Casting@iifilms.org with RV in the subject line.
GRANDMAS - Yes, we need Grandmas. The name of the movie is My 7 Grandmas and we are looking for 7 grandmas that can act. They need to be available all of September during the days and look 60-70 years old. Do you have a box truck that we can use during the production? Please send a headshot to Casting@iifilms.org with Grandma in the subject line.
HOUSING - Do you have a home that you know is going to be vacant during the month of September? We would love to house our out-of-town cast and crew there. They are all trusted cast and crew from our small Christian film community and will be housed based on their sex. Email us at Casting@iifilms.org with Housing in the subject line.
